Events
Diva Las Vegas
I was fortunate to attend DLV a few years ago while on my way to business meetings in California.  I met some great people during the brief time that I was there for and wished that I could've spent more time.  Definitely worth checking out.

First Event - Boston, MA
This is a local event for me and was that second TG specific that I had ever been too.  Since I have clients in the area that the conference is held I was a little apprehensive about going but am glad that I did.  2018 will be my third time attending First Event and I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.  There are several great workshops and organized components of the event but the impromptu gathering in the lobby and at local places is not to be missed.  For 2020 it has moved into downtown Boston with amazing room rates at the Boston Park Plaza.

Keystone - Harrisburg, PA
My good friend Julie talked me into making the trip to Harrisburg in 2017 and I have to say that Keystone is amazing.  It is well organized, well attended and worth going.  As with First Event there are great workshops and so many opportunities to meet others like us as well as those who support us.

Makeup, Clothing and/or TG Specific Products
Glamour Boutique
The late John Warrener founded the Glamour Boutique and at one point owned three locations.  This is the New Jersey location and while I have not visited the store in person I have had great service from their internet/mail order store.  Their email list is worth signing up for and their site offers a great deal of tips and tricks.

Lindsey Taub Image Consulting
Lindsey's background in NYC Fashion and hospitality gives her an amazing perspective on how to portray the best image possible.  Learn how to choose hair styles, clothing and accessories based on your face shape, body type and skin tones.  When you tailor your look based on Lindsey's advice it bolster your confidence and help you succeed in all you do.

My personal testimonial:  "Lindsey’s advice is invaluable giving me a major style upgrade and incredible boost in my confidence.  This was never more evident than when I was walking through the lobby of the posh St. Regis Hotel and a couple of ladies, who had come in for afternoon tea, approached me thinking that I was the hotel hostess."

MAC Cosmetics
I have not visited a MAC store en femme but have purchased things from them and never had a bad interaction.  I have also heard from other girls that they have had some excellent in store makeovers.

Macy's
Long known for their support of the TG community, I have shopped here several times and never had a bad experience.  While national chains do have the potential to vary in different markets they do have national policies that are designed to create a positive experience for all of their customers.

TG Fashions - Auburn, MA
This is the original Glamour Boutique location started by John Warrener and is still in operation.  They have the online business and regular store hours.  I've had great experiences both before and after John's passing at this store.  However, when I visited in October of 2017 they were only accepting cash in store.  I'm not sure if this was a temporary thing or not but there is an ATM close by.

Ulta
Great customer service the one time that I went to one of their stores even despite the fact that I got the sense that I was the first transgendered person that the women I was working with had served.  She was a terrific help in getting me the correct foundation for my skin.
